Istanbul is not a city that fits neatly into three days. It stretches across two continents, changes character from one neighbourhood to the next and constantly tempts you away from your plan. Still, three days is enough for an unforgettable first visit when you organise the route by area instead of travelling backwards and forwards across the city. This itinerary is based on my own trip and uses my original photographs.
